Protective cream for hands and face with hydrophilic action, protection series. How to protect your facial skin from the sun and dust in summer, creams and cosmetics Estee Lauder cosmetics for skin protection

Protecting the skin is no less important than moisturizing and nourishing it. The skin of the face, neck and hands especially needs protection - after all, it is more susceptible to negative external influences than the skin of the body. However, women often believe that using protective creams optional, and a nourishing cream will suffice.

If you ignore protective creams, your skin will begin to dry out and fade sooner., will become flabby and covered with wrinkles. Therefore, it is necessary to use protective equipment, selecting them according to your skin type, depending on the time of year and climate, lifestyle and working conditions.

The protective function is usually performed by day creams: non-greasy and semi-greasy, but there are also special ones that are intended specifically for skin protection from unfavorable factors - they are applied in the morning and removed only in the evening, before bed.

Nourishing creams are thicker and penetrate deeper into the skin; Protective creams soften only its upper layers, protecting them from wind, cold, heat, dirt and dust. Daytime protective creams, when absorbed, eliminate oily shine and give the skin a slight matte finish, so they are also good to use as a base for powder.

Protective creams should always be used, but this is especially important in dry weather; when a strong wind blows; hot or cold. On winter days, it is recommended to use creams with a certain fat content under the powder: for oily skin - a semi-oily cream, for normal and dry skin - a rich cream. Moisturizing creams should not be used during the cold season.

The skin is protected by a thin film formed by a layer of cream and powder.

Protective creams also play an important role in the prevention of aging., and you shouldn’t think that protection is needed only from the sun: protective cream should be applied in cloudy weather, and even in the dark - if you go out at that time.

Protective creams often contain hydroquinone esters, which have a whitening effect, aloe extract and other components. When using protective creams, you need to take into account your skin type, and remember that decorative powder, like the emulsions that replace it, can dry out the skin. Therefore, it is imperative to apply a protective cream under the powder, especially if the skin is dry: it will protect not only from external influences, but also from decorative cosmetics.

If you apply a protective cream over a nourishing one, then the excess of the latter must be removed using a cosmetic napkin. Too liquid cream is applied with the fingers of both hands, using gentle circular movements, and not smeared over the face at random. If the cream, on the contrary, is too thick, then the skin on the face must first be moisturized - with lotion or even regular green tea.

Today, almost every cosmetics manufacturer, both well-known and new ones, produces similar products, so there is plenty to choose from. However, first we’ll tell you a little about those creams that you can prepare at home without spending too much time and money.

So, for winter, a mixture of any fatty cream with pork or goose fat, olive or other fatty oil is suitable. The ingredients are mixed 1:1.

Another type of protective cream that is easy to prepare is a cream for dry skin. You need to take lanolin cream (2 tsp), zinc ointment and pharmaceutical pork fat (1 tsp each), mix thoroughly and use before going outside during the cold season.

For normal skin, mix olive oil, zinc ointment and spermaceti cream in equal proportions; for oily skin – corn oil, zinc ointment and boric vaseline. By the way, the last two types of cream can also be used for sun protection by applying them under powder.

A special sun protection cream can be prepared with zinc ointment based on lard (50 g) and salol (3 g). The zinc ointment must be carefully melted by lowering the jar halfway into hot water, add salol to it and heat again - about 10 minutes. Then cool, stirring the mixture with a wooden stick all the time. This cream is applied under powder before going outside, and after returning, washed with warm water and soap.

To protect dry skin, another homemade cream is suitable, it is very effective: it not only protects the skin, but also takes care of it, making it elastic and soft.

You will need 1 tbsp. badger fat and St. John's wort oil, 10 g of wax and an oil solution of vitamins A and E. All components are mixed and heated in a water bath, then the mixture is poured into a glass jar and stored in a cool place. This is a very rich cream, and it is applied in a thin layer - not only on the face and neck, but also on the hands and skin of the feet.

For any skin type, a protective cream made from 3 types of oils is suitable - mango and shea butter (7.5 ml each), jojoba oil and violet extract (2.5 ml each). Mix all components and use as intended.

And now about some purchased cosmetics.

Estee Lauder offers protective moisturizer SZF 15 with antioxidants. This cream solves two problems at once - it is both protective and tonal: when applied to the skin, the pigment particles in its composition begin to work - the skin color is evened out, and it seems to begin to glow. At the same time, the skin is not only completely protected, but also moisturized. This cream can be used without powder or with Estee Lauder cream powder.

The well-known company Clinique also offers an effective protective cream - City Block Sheer Shimmer SPF 25. It protects the skin from the sun, maintains its healthy appearance and improves metabolic processes. This cream is the first to combine natural ingredients that provide protection against UV radiation and free radicals.

The cream is almost invisible on the skin - it is almost transparent, and can be used even by men. In addition, it is suitable for any skin type, including sensitive ones - the cream acts as a barrier that protects the skin from environmental influences. Makeup applied over this cream lasts a long time and is durable. Even oily skin feels great after applying City Block Sheer Shimmer SPF 25 as it does not clog pores.

Lancome, whose products are also known and loved by millions of women from all over the world, offers a skin protection kit - protective cream and lip gloss.

The cream moisturizes the skin, protects it from sun rays, prevents the appearance of wrinkles, is resistant to moisture - even salty sea water, and does not interfere with tanning. The aroma of the cream is fresh and subtle.

Lip gloss is so effective that it protects skin cells at the DNA level. Lancome Soleil DNA Guard set is a truly qualitatively new formula skin protection.

Uriage cosmetics are made using unique thermal water, which is characterized by a high content of beneficial substances, therefore it not only protects, but also moisturizes and soothes the skin. One of the creams offered by Uriage protects not only the face, but also the skin of the hands and the entire body. This is Barriederm cream - it protects the surface of the skin and restores its structure in deeper layers. The cream can be used not only under powder or makeup, but also for protection in hazardous industries or at home.

There are also less expensive protective creams - for example, Garnie Skin Naturals protective and moisturizing cream for normal and combination skin. This is an effective long-lasting protective cream: it is applied throughout the day - it moisturizes and gives the skin a matte finish.

Mary Key offers two types of liquid protective day cream with vitamins and herbal extracts. The first is for dry and normal skin, valid for 6 hours, the second is for normal and oily skin, valid for 8 hours. The cream is easy to apply, stays on for a long time and gives the skin a smooth and natural appearance.

It is imperative to use protective creams: protecting the skin from harmful influences and preventing the penetration of toxic and destructive substances from the environment, they allow it to “breathe” freely, retain moisture and prevent premature aging.

Women living in big cities protective creams are constantly needed: not only toxic dust flies in the air of megacities, but also soot and suspended matter containing heavy metals, and there is nothing to say about car exhaust.

Summer protective creams neutralize the effects of sun rays on the skin, help it resist temperature changes, maintain optimal moisture and promote an even, beautiful tan.

Winter creams create a thin film on the skin that does not interfere with its full breathing. Using protective creams, you provide your beauty with constant and reliable support, and you will feel calm and confident under any circumstances.

Return to the beginning of the section Facial care

The face for most women is perhaps the most important part of the body. It receives maximum attention and must always look impeccable. At the same time, the face is open at any time and in any weather, which means that it is the skin of the face that is most susceptible to the adverse effects of external factors.

Protection for facial skin is an indispensable condition for its beauty and youth. Various skin protection products are aimed precisely at preventing overdrying and maintaining its elasticity for as long as possible.

The simplest and most common such remedy is day creams. As a rule, they have a lighter structure than fatty nourishing night products, and they do not penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, but act mainly in its superficial part - soften, moisturize and prevent drying, protect from dust and dirt. In addition, they often serve as a base for makeup. Day creams designed for oily skin have a mattifying effect, eliminating oily shine.

Apply day creams in the morning, about half an hour before going outside. Their use is especially important in hot and windy weather and certainly in cold, frosty weather. All skin types are sensitive to frost. In winter, it is recommended to use oily day creams for dry and normal skin, and semi-oily ones for combination and oily skin. During this period, you should never neglect regular nourishing masks (at least once every 10 days). Those with dry and normal skin can try masks made from vegetable oil (olive, corn, peach). To do this, a small amount of oil is heated in a water bath and applied to the face using a cotton pad or swab. After 15 minutes, wash off the oil and wash with herbal decoction.

A layer of powder applied on top of the day cream forms with it a kind of protective film for the skin. It is worth considering that in winter it is not recommended to use creams containing large amounts of water under powder. Before applying powder, excess cream must be carefully removed with a napkin.

If you constantly work at a computer, facial skin protection is even more necessary, since in such conditions the risk of premature aging increases. In addition to the use of protective day creams and moisturizing night creams, regular (about once every 2 hours) irrigation of the facial skin is recommended. For this purpose, special sprays with thermal water are used. They perfectly moisturize the skin without damaging makeup, and sometimes they can even “fix” it. If your face is not wearing makeup, you can irrigate your skin with ordinary mineral water or wipe it with a napkin soaked in it. Skin protection products can be not only external. Eating tomatoes and cabbage will also help protect your face from harmful computer radiation. Green tea has a similar effect (you need to drink at least 2 cups a day). In addition, make sure that the air in the work areas is not dry and stagnant. Regular ventilation is necessary; If possible, you should use special air humidifiers.

Protection for facial skin under the hot sun is critically needed. A suitable skin protection product is selected based on individual characteristics (the lighter the skin by nature, the greater the SPF protective factor should be). Cream, oil or spray is applied to the entire face (but not close to the eyes) in sufficient quantity. Application must be repeated every 2 hours. And, of course, the golden rule is always relevant - avoid exposure to the sun during the period of its maximum activity - from 12-00 to 16-00. By the way, sunscreen for facial skin sometimes needs to be used in winter - for example, at ski resorts.

The skin should be constantly taken care of, as it is a natural protective shell that provides us with a comfortable existence in the external environment. Most of our skin, one way or another, is protected from cold, precipitation, the influence of chemical agents and radiation with the help of various items of clothing. The only area of our body that constantly remains open is the skin of the face, which is why our efforts and attention should be aimed at preserving its natural protective properties.

Attractive appearance is perhaps the main component of a person’s acceptance in society. Of particular importance are beauty and external signs of health, which are largely visually assessed by the condition of the facial skin. Thanks to cosmetology, today a woman has in her arsenal tools that make it possible to maintain a fresh and radiant appearance for many years. But, in addition to cosmetic preparations that should moisturize, nourish and protect the “beautiful mantle”, we should not forget about nutrition, hygiene and basic rules of behavior that protect us from the influence of the external environment.

A person is constantly faced with the aggressive influence of many factors, which can be either of natural origin or the result of industrial activity. And yet, the skin of the face must be protected primarily from the following negative effects, which are harmful in themselves and enhance the influence of others:

Thermal radiation. Causes sweating, which promotes the dissolution of various chemicals and their closer contact with the dermis. Heat also improves blood circulation in all layers of the skin, which speeds up the absorption of chemicals. Cold. Dries the skin and causes the formation of microscopic cracks. Ultraviolet radiation. Causes burns and other skin disorders, such as: Melanoma. Wrinkles. Freckles. Age spots. Vitiligo. Benign neoplasms.

Ultraviolet radiation also enhances the absorption of chemicals and their negative effects on the body.

Daily care for a “beautiful mantle” should be as natural for a woman as brushing her teeth. Remember to follow the following rules, and you can protect yourself from such serious troubles as premature aging and cancer.

Keep your skin moisturized.

Keeping the dermis hydrated is of great importance for its protection. Skin that is properly hydrated retains its elasticity and does not crack or peel.

Drink plenty of water. During the hot season, you can moisturize your facial skin with mineral water or diluted milk from a spray bottle. Use moisturizer or lotion after every wash. Choose products without sodium lauryl sulfate, as this ingredient removes natural oils needed by the skin. During the cold season, moisturizers are applied at least an hour before leaving the house. When the temperature drops significantly (more than 10 degrees), they are completely eliminated and replaced with nutrients.

Washing is necessary to remove dirt, sebum, pathogenic bacteria and dead cells. However, any cleansing is stressful on your skin, so for best results, follow these guidelines:

Use mild detergents and moderately hot water. It is not recommended to wash your face with warm water, as it deprives the dermis of its tone. After washing, rinse your face thoroughly with cool water to remove any remaining soap and improve skin turgor. Dry your face with blotting movements to avoid stretching, then apply the cream.

The industrial development of cities in many countries entails both pleasant and dire consequences. One of the latter is air pollution. According to statistics from the World Health Organization, in 2014, 92% of the world's population lived in regions with high levels of pollution. In addition, car exhaust also contributes to the development of diseases of the cardiovascular system, respiratory tract and cancer. How to make the air we breathe cleaner, what methods of protection against dust and dirt exist today and what a nasal filter is - we’ll talk in this article.

There are several types of nasal filters, they have different manufacturers, their own subtleties of use, pros and cons. Let's look at everything in more detail.

Nasal filters

Nasal filters, or invisible respirators as they are also called, are compact designs that are placed in the nasal passages to purify the inhaled air. It goes in and out easily. The protection is not visible to prying eyes, and after a short period of time you yourself will stop feeling it - you just need to get used to the new sensations a little.

What does a nasal filter do? Thanks to it, the air is purified from the most harmful harmful particles that we could breathe. Namely:

  • from substances contained in industrial and household dust;
  • from substances that are formed from;
  • from allergens: pollen, mold and mildew, animal saliva, etc.;
  • from pathogenic microorganisms that develop diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract.

The main manufacturers of invisible respirators are Japan and England.

A distinctive feature of English filters is the ability to replace the filter material.

There are also Italian brands. Their models are available in sizes “S”, “L”, “M”. A special feature of these filters is the presence of a special biogel for better use.

Now let's look at the design of the nose protection. It consists of a housing or external retainer in the form of soft rubber, an internal dome-shaped retainer in the form of the same soft rubber, the filter itself - spunbond non-woven material (retains microparticles less than 10 micrometers) or cellulose microsponge - and a polypropylene jumper for comfortable grip.

Application

How do you know if you need protection? The use of invisible respirators is widespread during periods of:

  • , including for preventive purposes;
  • travel and changes in climatic conditions;
  • allergies to dust, dirt, pollen and other irritants.

Therefore, if you live in a city with a high level of air pollution, if you are a medical worker (as a replacement for gauze masks), if you work in a factory: in a workshop or in a dusty area, or often suffer from respiratory diseases - a nasal filter will become your invaluable assistant.

Their wide range and variety will allow you to choose a model for any age: from children 4-5 years old to the elderly. And this issue should be approached carefully, since a mistake with the choice can be costly:

  • nosebleeds may occur;
  • the nasal septum may become bent;
  • Nasal polyps or may occur.
  • To avoid these problems, you should choose your size accurately.

It must be remembered that structures with “wet” use will grow by about a millimeter.

Each package contains three filters. On average, one such protection lasts for 7-10 days. This means that the package will last a little less than a month, although if you use the filters periodically and not constantly, you can increase their service life.

Start with what is rarely done first - read the instructions. All the most important things are stated in it. If you have not purchased filters yet and are still in doubt, we will tell you how to use an invisible respirator.

First, carefully remove one pair from the package. If this is a design for use during a runny nose, you should moisten it a little in water and only then install it in the nasal passages.

The filter must be inserted so that the bridge touches the bottom of the nose and does not dangle or move from side to side.
Then inhale several times to ensure reliable contact of the inner wall of the filter with the nasal cavity. Respirators for use without a runny nose are worn for up to 12 hours without taking them off. To use for a runny nose, rinsing is required; you can do this once an hour.
After the period of use has expired, the filters are removed, washed well, and dried at normal temperature in a room away from radiators and sources of increased heat. Average drying time is 4-6 hours.

Features of application

Burning, stinging or an unpleasant feeling associated with the introduction of a foreign body into the nose are common symptoms when first used. The average adaptation time is from half an hour to three hours. As a rule, then a person simply forgets about filters.

Adults must ensure the installation of the structure for children under 12 years of age.

It is not necessary to use invisible respirators all the time - it is possible to use them immediately before contact with an allergen: before traveling, cycling or just walking, interacting with animals and in other cases.

Now let's talk about the pros and cons that many of us consider before purchasing nasal filters.

The advantages include the following indicators:

  • actually, cleaning the inhaled air;
  • its complete penetration into the lungs, absence of cough;
  • anatomically correct shape and comfortable design;
  • does not affect appearance, expression of emotions and food intake;
  • consists of hypoallergenic and high-quality materials;
  • a wide range of;
  • use by children over 4 years of age and pregnant women;
  • the need to use medications for allergies is reduced.

And now the disadvantages:

  • possible burning or soreness in the nose;
  • nosebleeds due to incorrect filter selection or installation;
  • deviated septum.

To completely protect yourself from such symptoms of incorrect use, consult an otolaryngologist before purchasing.

Good news for those who bought filters but have not yet been able to use them: when closed, unpacked, the filters do not lose their properties for a very long time.

Unfortunately, as reviews from Russian consumers show, nasal filters are not suitable for everyone. Thus, many people experienced irritation of the mucous membrane when using protection for a dry nose. Sometimes even the largest invisible respirators did not completely close the nasal passages, and allergens entered through the gaps. Thus, as users write, “nasal filters are not a panacea for allergies” and suggest using protection only in conjunction with medications.

From an aesthetic point of view, not everything is so rosy either. The septum itself is quite thick, and even a small section of it under the nose is noticeable. In addition, when protection is installed in the nasal passages, the upper part of the nose becomes larger due to the expansion of these same passages. Many women are repulsed by this fact.

And, perhaps, the most important drawback of the filters was difficulty breathing. It became harder for people to breathe, yawning began to appear much more often, their heads ached and they wanted to sleep. All this while using dry nose filters.

In addition to carefully choosing your size and type of invisible respirators, you need to understand that the first purchase is just a test of them as possible protection against allergies and harmful substances in the air. But it is not at all necessary that you will get rid of problems with dirty air once and for all. There are other solutions.

You don't need to look at statistics to understand that we spend most of our lives at home. If you live in an area with bad air, you can protect yourself with nasal filters. But, unfortunately, you will not have the opportunity to wear them all the time: for example, while sleeping. In addition, they may not be suitable for you as a solution. This means that the protection of your respiratory tract will not be constant.

Therefore, if you cannot influence the air outside your window in any way, then you can definitely influence the air in your home. A breather will help you quickly and reliably get rid of dust and allergens.

The breather is a compact device that provides heating and air purification. It can be easily controlled from a smartphone. You will not hear a single noise, the rooms will be fresh, there will be no unpleasant odors, and your lungs will be clean.

Thus, the optimal solution to the issue of dirty air would be to use a breather at home, and on the street - nasal filters or other protection. This way you will save money and maintain your health at the proper level, you will be able to be in nature more often, you will forget about allergies, and you will increase the service life of invisible respirators by using them only in outdoor conditions.

Respirators for breathing protection

Another type of protection against polluted air is respirators. First created in the 16th century in the form of fabric moistened with water and rolled into several layers, respirators have gone through a long path of modifications and now represent a reliable means of protection against dust, dirt, toxic aerosols, smoke and gases.

Basic operating principle

The essence of a respirator is to isolate the respiratory tract from contact with a contaminated environment. The device supplies either clean or purified air to the lungs. And the air that we exhale is either released into the atmosphere by the respirator or taken for further processing.

According to the classification, respirators are divided into household, medical and industrial. There are also insulating and filtering ones. We are interested in household ones.

The design of the respirator is quite simple:

  • the front part in the form of the mask itself or a half mask (outer part);
  • filter element, usually a carbon filter (internal part);
  • exhalation (if any) and inhalation valves;
  • ribbons for fastening.

A half mask and a mask differ in that the first covers only the lower part of the face, the second covers the entire face.

A carbon filter provides a greater degree of protection, since carbon is an excellent purifier and removes up to 95% of all air pollutants. An exhalation valve is used when a person has difficulty breathing while wearing a respirator. It makes breathing easier, but reduces protection due to the possible penetration of contaminated air inside if the valve itself is faulty or of poor quality.

The disadvantages include a weak degree of protection in heavily polluted air. However, even in many industries they use them, and not gas masks, for example.

What adverse factors can affect the skin of workers’ hands?

How can this impact be reduced?

How to select, provide and use protective equipment correctly?

In many enterprises the human body is exposed to various unfavorable professional factors:

  • chemical- difficult-to-remove contaminants, irritating substances (solutions of acids, alkalis, salts of heavy metals, organic acids, organic solvents), substances with photostimulating and photosensitizing effects (pitch, tar, asphalt, roofing felt, creosote, phenothiazine drugs, sulfonamides, etc.) , substances with a sensitizing effect (allergens: compounds of chromium, nickel, cobalt, resins, rubber components, formaldehyde, etc.), carcinogens, etc.;
  • physical(high and low temperature, ultraviolet radiation);
  • bacteriological(viruses, bacteria, fungi) when working with bacterially hazardous environments, finding a workplace remote from stationary sanitary facilities, when working in closed special shoes;
  • biological(arthropod bites) when working outdoors in the warm season (during the activity of blood-sucking and stinging insects and arachnids).

The result of this exposure is occupational diseases. Skin diseases occupy not the least place among them, which is why it is so important to eliminate direct contact with industrial irritants.

How can you protect the skin of your hands from exposure to adverse factors?

Gloves are used to protect hands when working with skin irritating or toxic substances and materials. Their range is very large and they perfectly perform the function of protecting the skin of the hands, but the constant use of gloves has a number of disadvantages: hand sensitivity worsens, air exchange decreases, which results in increased sweating.

Also, gloves may be incompatible with the specifics of the production process; moreover, gloves themselves are often the cause of contact dermatitis, that is, they are more of a hindrance than protection and help.

In addition to gloves, there are special protective creams. The cream is a kind of “liquid gloves”; the main thing is not to forget to resort to its help. These “gloves” are “put on” your hands before starting work. Using a protective cream allows you to avoid chemical and sometimes mechanical damage to your hands. The cream is applied to the skin before starting work, creating a barrier to hazardous substances penetrating the skin and facilitating subsequent cleaning of hands, protecting the skin of the hands from the negative effects of the working environment.

After completing any work involving any contaminants, it is very important to remove them from the skin as quickly as possible. It is advisable to first wash off the dust particles under running water without rubbing them into the skin, and only then use soap or a special detergent.

Soap should not contain concentrated alkalis, as they dry the skin, cause peeling, and lead to the formation of cracks. You should not use laundry soap. Soaps should be superfat and slightly alkaline.

When washing heavily soiled leather, you should not resort to products such as sand, clay, or sawdust, as they scratch the skin. Do not use kerosene, gasoline and other organic solvents, cutting fluids used in metalworking shops, as well as bleach and soda ash. They greatly degrease, loosen the skin, and promote the appearance of cracks. Under their influence, the skin loses its protective properties, creating conditions for microbes to penetrate into it.

Special hand pastes with abrasive agents wash away dirt well, which perfectly cleanse the skin of the hands from strong stubborn dirt, are well tolerated by the skin, do not cause irritation, maintain the natural protective barrier of the skin, prevent the penetration of fungal infections, and are easily washed off.

After washing, the skin should be thoroughly and dryly dried with a clean personal towel, especially when leaving the room to go outside. Wet skin, when exposed to wind, becomes very cold, becomes dry, wrinkled, and small cracks form on it. In addition, when washing, the skin loses fat, and along with it vitamins and other biologically active substances, so after washing the face, neck and hands should be lubricated with a thin layer of rich, nourishing or fortified cream.

Vitaminized creams have an anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect; they not only soften the skin, but also restore its elasticity.

It is to provide comprehensive care for the skin of the hands, reduce the adverse effects of harmful and hazardous production factors on workers, and prevent occupational skin diseases by Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia dated December 17, 2010 No. 1122n (as amended on February 20, 2014; hereinafter referred to as Order No. 1122n) Standard standards for the free distribution of flushing and (or) neutralizing agents to employees and the labor safety standard “Providing employees with flushing and (or) neutralizing agents.”

Washing and neutralizing agents are understood as dermatological personal protective equipment (hereinafter referred to as DPPE), intended for application to human skin to protect, clean and restore it in order to reduce the impact of harmful and dangerous factors in industrial production conditions.

Prevention of occupational skin diseases at the enterprise is ensured through a set of measures for employee skin care:

1) skin protection;

2) skin cleansing;

3) skin restoration.

Stage I: Skin protection

You can protect your skin from negative effects with the help of special protective creams that are applied before starting work. The cream forms a breathable protective layer on the skin, significantly reducing the penetration of harmful industrial substances.

To ensure the maximum level of protection, it is important to choose the right type of protective agent (Table 1).

Table 1

Repellents for use on skin and clothing

Bacteriological harmful factors: using shared showers, wearing closed safety shoes, working in protective gloves, etc.

Protective agents against fungal diseases, increased sweating and softening of the skin

Stage II. Skin cleansing

Skin cleansing should be done before the lunch break and after the end of the work shift.

Cleansing includes the removal of industrial contaminants, as well as protective creams. For this purpose, soap, special cleansing pastes, hand cleaning products with and without water are used.

Spending your summer in the city? Be careful: the dust and dirt of the concrete jungle have a bad effect on your skin and ruin your makeup. In our new material you will learn how to resist harmful environmental factors.

Daria Sergeeva,

beauty specialist of the Japanese brand KWC.

The main weapon in the fight against harmful environmental factors is proper skin cleansing and the use of decorative cosmetics.

  • Be sure to cleanse your skin twice a day: morning and evening.

City dust settles on your skin throughout the day and worsens its condition. Dust is a mixture of toxins and dirt that clog pores and promote the growth of bacteria, causing various rashes. Replenish your arsenal of cleansers with a hydrophilic cleansing oil that will easily remove makeup and sebaceous deposits in the pores. Also don't forget about deep cleansing your pores for clean and smooth skin. This task can be accomplished with a delicate foaming product, for example, a cleansing foam cream from the Japanese brand KWC, which cleanses pores of impurities and delicately removes dead cells from the surface of the skin.

  • There are special cleansing lotions and tonics that penetrate deep into the pores, removing excess oil, which is so important for combination and oily skin.
In the summer, many people give up decorative cosmetics, which “flow” during a hot day and can cause discomfort. But don’t rush to hide your makeup bag. Of course, many people perceive foundation as a “putty” for imperfections, but often do not think about its barrier function.
  • Any foundation consists mainly of silicone, fats and talc - these substances form a kind of mechanical barrier that protects your skin.

You just need to choose the right decorative cosmetics - strictly according to your skin type, so as not to cause a comedogenic effect (skin rashes).

It is also possible to use sprays to fix makeup. As a rule, such products include plant extracts and glycerin, which will create a protective film on the skin, prevent the evaporation of moisture from the skin and the deterioration of makeup in the heat.

And of course, don’t forget about the “lifesaver” for all girls with mixed and oily skin types.

  • During the day, when the skin begins to shine, it is better to blot it with mattifying wipes rather than powder it. A light touch of silk paper will not disturb your makeup.

Mattifying wipes will remove excess oil from the surface of the skin, prevent clogging of pores and the growth of bacteria, and also protect the skin from pollution on a hot summer day.

Those with dry and normal skin can try vegetable oil (corn oil). To do this, a small amount of oil is heated in a water bath and applied to the face using a cotton pad or swab. After 15 minutes, wash off the oil and wash with herbal decoction.

  • Powder

A layer of powder applied on top of the day cream forms with it a kind of protective film for the skin. It is worth considering that in winter it is not recommended to use creams containing large amounts of water under powder. Before applying powder, excess cream must be carefully removed with a napkin.

Even ordinary transparent powder can capture the sun's rays and prevent them from reaching the skin. Colored powder has more pigment, so it has a higher UV protection factor. But it is best to use special modern powders with a high SPF factor. They contain filters that prevent free radical damage to the skin. Such powders are very convenient in hot summer weather, when using thick creams is not very pleasant.

But even with powders, you need to remember the basic rule - they need to be constantly updated, since the layer of product is absorbed and removed from the skin along with sweat, leaving it defenseless under the ruthless rays of the sun.

  • Concealer

Modern tonal products are radically different from those products that went on sale quite recently. They have many beneficial properties, such as fixation on the skin after application and the ability to adapt to skin tone. But the most important thing is the presence of SPF integrated into the foundation. This product solves several issues at once in addition to giving the skin beauty and a fresh look.

Foundation with a protection factor forms a film on the face that protects it from drying out, chapping, the harmful effects of temperature and sunlight, as well as from various contaminants.

Modern foundation has numerous beneficial properties. It not only tones the skin, but also nourishes and moisturizes it. Designed for aging skin, this cream tightens it and smoothes out wrinkles. The presence of sun protection in it not only helps protect the skin, but also frees you from the need to apply several layers of products to your face: day cream + sunscreen + foundation. As a result, your makeup looks better and your skin is perfectly protected.

  • Skin hydration

In addition to refreshing the skin with tonics and sprays, it is recommended to use preparations with hyaluronic acid. Now they are in any cosmetic lines, but Asian skin care cosmetics are especially famous for them. You can use toners with hyaluronic acid, serums or creams. All of them perfectly moisturize the skin and protect it from drying out and aging.

  • Sunscreens

Protection for facial skin under the hot sun is critical.

Sunscreen is used not only when visiting the beach. In summer, radiation on city streets is no less dangerous than on the seashore. It is especially important to apply sunscreen when using peelings and acidic products - they will protect against formation on the skin, which will then be extremely difficult to remove.
