Description summer blouse by designer Emily Greene translated from “Pom Pom Quarterly” magazine No. 28 2019.

Lovely summer openwork blouse with short sleeve perfect for hot summer days and weekends. The presented blouse is knitted with knitting needles in Russian size 46.

You will need: knitting needles No. 3, 300 g of steel-colored Samanta yarn (80% cotton, 20% viscose), hook No. 2.5 for tying the neckline.

Description of work:

Openwork pattern. The first 9 rows of openwork cuts are knitted in the front and back rows, starting from the 10th row and 24 purl rows each - purl. p., 25 rub. like 1 rub.

For the back, cast on 107 stitches on the knitting needles, a multiple of 21 + 2 edge stitches and knit with openwork according to a 36 cm pattern to the armhole. To form an armhole, bind off 6 stitches on each side, and 2 times 1 stitch every other row. Knit 19 cm with the remaining 91 stitches and close in the middle with 39 stitches for the neckline. Separately knit 4 more rows on each side, 26 stitches on the shoulders and close.

Before knitting to the armhole line is similar to the back. Shorten the stitches for the armhole, knit 4 cm, cast off the middle 15 stitches. Knit the next 15 cm separately to the shoulder line, gradually decreasing the loops in each even row: first 5 sts, 4 sts, 2 sts, 1 st. Cast off 26 sts of the shoulder.

For a short sleeve, cast on 82 loops and knit 3 cm in openwork. To round the sleeve, decrease 6 loops on both sides. Then knit 14 cm, knitting two loops together on both sides at the end of every second row. Cast off 14 stitches.

Sew the side and shoulder seams of the blouse. Sew the sleeves and stitch in.

Tie the neckline with a pattern according to the pattern: 1p - st. without nac.; 2р – st. with inc., 2 air. P.; Row 3 – st. without. nak.
